The IO (intraosseous) needle can be used for :
- Traumatic condition or hypovolemic shock caused by dehydration
- Cardiac arrest and circulatory collapse
- Epileptic condition (SE)
- Asthmatic condition (SA)
- Extensive burns and burn shock
- Asphyxiation
- Sepsis and septic shock.
- Other medical conditions where immediate intravenous access is required but standard IV access is difficult or impossible.
