One-step rapid test for the qualitative detection of lactoferrin in human faeces. For professional in vitro diagnostic use only!
The Lactoferrin Rapid Test Sheet (Faeces) is an immunochromatographic method for the qualitative detection of lactoferrin in human faeces for the diagnosis of inflammatory gastrointestinal disorders.
The best therapy tailored to the patient's symptoms can reduce the exacerbation of the patient's symptoms and help improve quality of life and the development of complications of the disease. Human lactoferrin, a glycoprotein of neutrophil origin, can be measured in stool and whole bowel washings as an indicator of intestinal inflammation in both IBD and infectious gastroenteritis. Previous studies have shown that faecal lactoferrin (FL) is a sensitive biomarker for detecting IBD in children and is therefore most useful for diagnosis and therapy in children and adults.
