The phase contrast microscope of the OBL-15 series is especially suitable for very translucent, thin and low-contrast preparations such as living mammalian cells, bacteria and tissue. Direct imaging of cells with low inherent contrast is possible using the phase contrast technique - without staining the structures beforehand. Two objective lenses in Infinity E-Plan grind can focus sharply at infinity and are part of the high-quality equipment, as are the two phase contrast objectives, a continuously dimmable LED illumination and colored filters. For recordings and demonstrations in the medical and scientific fields, the trinocular microscope can be equipped with an optional camera via a corresponding C-mount adapter (not included).
