With the new LED Nystagmus Spectacles we offer an improved version of our proven Nystagmus Spectacles according to Prof. Frenzel. The model 803 can be used for short-term illuminated spectacle examinations in mobile use. The actual illuminated spectacle examination is performed in a dark room or in a heavily darkened room. The internal illumination of the spectacles breaks the patient's optical contact with the environment (eliminating the fixation that prevents nystagmus). The new LED nystagmus spectacles are illuminated by diodes placed in a circle behind the illuminating plate, which produce diffuse light of adjustable brightness without fixed light points that can affect the result of the examination. In the battery-powered versions of LED nystagmus glasses, a timer function facilitates the observation of excursions within a certain time interval (30, 60 or 90 seconds). In addition, one minute after the timer expires, the LED nystagmus goggle turns off the illumination and the LED nystagmus goggle automatically turns it back on when it is reapplied. This is an energy-saving feature. This energy-saving function, together with the low battery indicator, ensures the constant availability of the LED nystagmus goggles. The automatic on/off function can be switched off. This model allows wireless operation and can be used independently of the power supply. Power is supplied by the top-mounted, adjustable battery holder handle, which accepts three 1.5-volt, size C LR14/AM-2 batteries (baby batteries) (Batteries not included!).
