Details
The CRP Semi Quantitative Rapid Test Card (Whole Blood/Serum/Plasma) detects the presence of C-reactive protein by visualising the coloured stripes on the test cassette. The sample is absorbed from the beginning to the end of the test sheet. If the sample contains CRP, it binds to the CRP antibody-coated particles and conjugates with the colorant to produce a colored stripe. It appears depending on the amount of CRP present. If the colour of the test strip is paler than the colour of the control strip, it means that the concentration of CRP is between 10-30mg/l. If the test strip colour is stronger than the control strip colour, it indicates that the CRP concentration is greater than 30mg/l. The coloured stripe in the control (C) zone is used to verify the procedure and confirms that the test sheet is working correctly and that the sample volume and absorption were adequate.
