CARDIAX Load Lab Fully Automates Load Tests The computer controls the load device (bike or treadmill) according to a preset load program. The load program can specify the duration of the load phases, the initial load, the load increase per phase, and the conditions for interrupting the load. If the ergometer is also equipped with an automatic blood pressure monitor, the CARDIAX system measures the blood pressure and stores the measured values. The system continuously records the full load ECG. The evaluation takes place immediately on the fly, so that the median curves and the ST trends can be observed already during the study. At the end of the study, a final protocol is prepared from the results. The results can also be viewed in graphical form. Graph plots heart rate, blood pressure, and load as a function of time. On other graphs, changes in ST amplitudes and medians can be tracked (ST trend and QRS trend). The program evaluates performance in the maximum and submaximal ranges.
