An audible alarm indicates when the device is ready for use and when the measurement is complete. The thermometer stores the last measurement result.
When the measurement is complete, if not switched off, it will automatically switch off to prolong battery life.
The thermometer has a replaceable battery. A graphic icon indicates when the battery needs to be replaced.
Measurement methods / Basal body temperature
-Oral (through the mouth) / 35,5 - 37,5 °C
-Place the thermometer under the tongue, on the right or left side of the mouth. The probe should be in good contact with the tissue. In addition, the mouth should be closed - breathe through the nose. This prevents air from entering the mouth during temperature measurement, which can cause inaccurate temperature readings. Approximate measuring time: 30 seconds!
-Rectalis / 36,6 - 38,0 °C
-This method gives the most accurate results, especially for infants and children. Carefully insert the probe into the rectum to a depth of about 2-3 cm. Approximate measuring time: 30 seconds!
axilla (armpit) / 34,7-37,3 °C
-For a more reliable result, it is recommended to take the measurement through the mouth or rectum. The minimum recommended measuring time is 3-5 minutes, regardless of the previous beep.
