Details
A test strip is a double-layered sheet with a cavity between the top and bottom sheets. The entrance to the cavity is at the edge of the tab, where the blood droplet is touched and then almost "runs" into the centre of the tab (capillary effect). Thanks to the capillary principle, blood drops can be obtained not only from the fingertip, but also from the palm and forearm.

The six gold electrodes of the Ideal Test allow, in addition to the instantaneous sugar level, to check the quantity of the sample and the quality of the electrodes before the measurement, making the biosensor solution more reliable and accurate and less disturbed by external conditions (e.g. temperature).
