H. pylori is a small, spiral-shaped bacterium living on the surface of the stomach and duodenum. It causes many gastrointestinal diseases such as gastric and duodenal ulcers, gastric acidosis, acute and chronic gastritis.

The H. pylori Antibody Rapid Test Strip is a qualitative membrane-based immunochromatographic method for the detection of H. pylori antibodies in whole blood, serum or plasma.
The test uses anti-human immobilized IgG in the test zone. The sample, when dropped onto the sample zone, reacts with H. pylori antigen-coated particles on the test strip.
If the sample contains H. pylori antibody, a coloured stripe appears in the test zone, indicating a positive result.
