Details

Agent-free dressing made from calcium alginate fibers. The calcium content in the dressing contacts sodium ions in the blood and wound secretions, under the influence of which the dressing is transformed into a hydrophilic, non-stick gel. The transformed dressing perfectly fills the wound, therefore, a microclimate favorable for wound healing is created. The microorganisms are enclosed in the resulting gel. It is especially used in case of bleeding, discharge, infected wounds, since in these cases gel formation promotes the healing process, e.g. leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, abscesses, furunculos, burns, as well as hard-to-care wounds in accident and tumor surgery. Due to its design, it is especially recommended for the care of deep wounds, fistulas. Sterile, individually packed.
