The CardiAid-1 AED Trainer also provides the opportunity to learn and practice the steps of AED-assisted resuscitation and the correct CPR technique with the optional CPR module. The Trainer provides the possibility to simulate and practice the rescue in the following two modes of operation.
- Pre-programmed protocol mode
The pre-programmed protocols of the CardioAid-1 AED Trainer are:
- Non-shockable - non-shockable rhythm
- Non-shockable - non-shockable - shockable rhythm
- Non-shockable - shockable - shockable rhythm
- Shockable - non-shockable rhythm
When one of these is selected, the Trainer will automatically mimic the conditions defined in the selected protocol in the order specified and give the operator the corresponding instructions to remedy the condition. During the exercise, the phone will continuously indicate the frequency and depth of the CPR performed and the instructor can also indicate that the CPR has been performed by pressing the INFLATE button on the display.
In individual mode, the instructor can choose whether the next condition to be remedied is shockable or non-shockable and the device will give the operator the appropriate instructions to remedy the condition. During the exercise, the phone will continuously indicate the frequency and depth of CPR performed and the instructor can indicate that the CPR has been performed by pressing the INSERT button on the display.
