Bactericidal and fungicidal activity according to new test methods developed by DGHM*; Virucidal (HBV, HCV, HIV, adeno-, rota-, papova SV40 virus) activity.
Effective against bactericidal, fungicidal and retro viruses (HIV, HBV, HCV) in ultrasonic cleaning baths. It complies with the new European standards. The microbiological efficacy and cleaning effect of the prepared gigasept® instru AF working solution is guaranteed for 7 days under serum load.
For 100 g of concentrate:
14 g of coco-alkyl propylenediamine biguanidium diacetate,
35 g phenoxypropanol,
2,5 g benzalkonium chloride.
Other additives (according to EC Directives):
5-15% of non-ionic surfactants, solvents, pH stabilizers, anti-corrosive components, and colouring and fragrance agents.

gigasept® instru AF is a concentrate which can be easily diluted to one of the concentrations described in the table. When disinfecting, make sure that the working solution completely covers the instruments to be disinfected, avoiding the formation of air bubbles when disinfecting hollow instruments or devices (e.g. breathing tubes). Rinse the instruments and devices under running water after the soaking time has elapsed.
Never exceed the applied application time and the prescribed concentrate.
Due to the optimum cleaning effect of gigasept® instru AF, no other cleaning additives need to be added to the working solution.
The gigasept® instru AF working solution can be used under serum load for 7 days. In the case of possible heavy contamination, it is recommended to change the working solution earlier than the prescribed 7 days (when the instrument or device to be disinfected is no longer clearly visible at the bottom of the disinfectant tub).
Material compatibility
gigasept® instru AF can be used on the following materials: metal, rubber, glass, porcelain, plastic (only some polycarbons are compatible).
gigasept® instru AF is suitable for use in ultrasonic cleaning baths. The chemical stability of the solution is scientifically proven. Test results show that excellent cleaning performance can be achieved after only a few seconds of immersion (these test results will be sent to you on request).
care must be taken that the working solution never exceeds 40°C. The working solution in the ultrasonic cleaning bath should be changed once a day.
Both the gigasept® instru AF concentrate and the prepared working solution may react with aldehyde-based agents and other cleaning agents, which may lead to adverse effects (sedimentation, discolouration, loss of effectiveness). Therefore, we recommend thorough rinsing of the disinfecting baths and other auxiliary equipment with water before the first use of gigasept® instru AF.
When diluted to the required concentration, gigasept® instru AF can be discharged into drains, is biodegradable and does not pose any hazard to water treatment plants.
