Otoscopes and ophthalmoscopes
An otoscope is a device used to examine the eardrum and the ear canal. Its light source is an incandescent bulb, which can be xenon, xenon halogen or LED. A good quality otoscope provides extremely sharp visual feedback for monitoring, assessing and diagnosing ear health and problems. Otoscopes are available in two sizes - standard and pocket.
An ophthalmoscope (eye scope) is used to examine the internal structures of the eye, including the retina. In addition to the direct ophthalmoscope, a device worn on the doctor's head is also used, called an indirect ophthalmoscope. As with the otoscope, the light source for these devices is an incandescent bulb, which can be halogen, xenon or LED.
In addition to otoscopes and ophthalmoscopes, our webshop also sells bulbs, ear funnels, battery chargers, diagnostic kits and slit lamps.
